2008 Distinguished Alumni Awards
The Distinguished Alumni Awards were established by the UMass Amherst Alumni Association to recognize the outstanding achievements of alumni, faculty, and special friends of the university. The Awards Ceremony was held in the Great Hall of the Massachusetts State House on April 17, 2008.
UMass President Jack Wilson, UMass Amherst Chancellor Thomas Cole, and Alumni Association President Kathleen Mitchell addressed the the 200 guests on hand to honor our 2008 Distinguished Alumni. This year's recipients include:
