The 39th Annual Multiband Pops Concert

The 39th Annual Multiband Pops Concert

Fifteen different music and dance ensembles perform in rapid succession during a musical extravaganza that will take your breath away on October 18.

Professor Jeffrey W. Holmes, with the Department of Music and Dance, produces and choreographs the flow of performances, keeping the audience guessing from where in the Hall the next ensemble will play. The highlight for some listeners is the rousing performance by the Minuteman Marching Band, which comprises nearly the entire second half of the show.  Music will also be performed by these Wind, Brass, String, Choral, Percussion and Dance ensembles: the Chamber Choir, Chapel Jazz, Horn Choir, Jazz Ensemble I, Mass Marimbas, Percussion Ensemble, Saxophone Quartet, Symphony Band, Trombone Choir, UMass Dancers, Marimba Ensembles, University Orchestra, Vocal Jazz and Wind Ensemble.
