Join a panel of LGBTQ alumni guests for an intergenerational conversation about being an LGBTQ student on campus on October 20.
Panelists will speak on their experiences with activism and community during their time at UMass and audience members will be encouraged to participate. Panel discussion will begin at 12:00 p.m. in the Stonewall Center.
An LGBTQ Alumni Reception will follow the panel discussion from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. in the Stonewall Center. Join in this first meeting to discuss the future development of an LGBTQ Alumni Network.
The Stonewall Center provides support, advocacy and programming for LGBTQ and allied students, staff and faculty at UMass Amherst and for the larger Pioneer Valley. The Center also seeks to educate the campus and local community about heterosexism, genderism and sexual and gender prejudice in order to create a more inclusive and welcoming climate for LGBTQ individuals and their allies.
