Year-one Alumni from CoE/CHC/UMMB, and I am PUMPED for all the awesome events! If only I lived closer, so I could visit more often!
My wife and I met on campus in 1981. We have great memories of UMass and the Pioneer Valley. We are thrilled that our son (Class of 2014 CHC/ISOM) is enjoying UMass as much as we did. He currently has a Finance class with one of my favorite professors – Ben Branch. Very cool to see a second generation of students enjoying Professor Branch’s perspective on current events in Finance.
We enjoyed the opening day football game and taligate parrty at Gillette earlier this month with fifty family members and friends! We look forward to Homecoming, the BU v.s UMass Hockey game and the Open House for prospective students on 10/28. We will have our two yomger sons with us one of whom is a high school senior. We look forward to showing him the CHC Complex and all UMass has to offer prospective students.

Thanks for the comment Laura. Can’t wait to see you at Homecoming! Go UMass!
I recognize that the University is reaching for another level, but it is loosing the heritage of a family institution.
Since returning to this area in 1973, 4 have graduated from amherst and 1 at dartmouth mass.
Oug gang has been regular attendees at homecoming most every year, and at other football
games during the season games.
In our 60′s we attended many basketball games but now late nite driving is not appropriate for our age.
I hope what you are trying to create is a success.
We will follow on via the newspapers.
Lets hope the games are well attended and perhaps we might be able to follow the action on TV.
Best of luck in the new format

Hi Ed,
thanks so much for the best wishes and continued support of UMass! We truly value all generations of UMass families and hope they will join us for the Homecoming 2012 activities. The Fall Festival on Saturday, October 27 will be a really fun on-campus event for families, followed by the Homecoming Parade and BU vs. UMass Hockey game. We’re looking forward to seeing familiar faces and lots of new ones. As you mentioned – UMass is moving forward and reaching for new levels. Go UMASS!
Hey, Dave! Sounds like a party! Maybe we’ll see you there.
